Spam Filter for Outlook Express

1. Open Outlook Express
2. Click on Tools at the top
3. Click on Rules

4. Click the “New” button at the top

5. Place the following information:
-Rule Name: “SPAM”
-For If: select the option “if any criteria are met”
-In the drop down boxes select for the first one “Subject” for the second one “contains”

-In the white box at the end of that line type *****SPAM*****
(Note: 5 * before the word SPAM and after)
-For “Then”: For the first drop down box select “Move message”
-Click on the drop down box that shows “Inbox” and click “Choose Folder”

6. Click the New button at the bottom
7. –For name of the New Folder type SPAM
-Check the box Create as subfolder of “Inbox”
-Click the Create button

8. Click the “Choose” button

9. Make sure the box “Enabled” is checked and then click "OK"

10. You should see your new SPAM rule in the box. Close that box.

11. Now when any message comes in that the Spam filter notes as Spam it will be moved to the Spam folder so you can go through it when you wish in case any mail was accidentally tagged as Spam
