1. Open OSX Mail
2. Click on Mailbox at the top
3. Click on New Mailbox |

| 4. Select Location “On my Mac” and type the name “SPAM” then click "OK" |

5. Click Mail at the top
6. Click Preferences |

| 7. Click Rules |
|
| 8. Click “Add Rule” |
|
9. Place the following information on the next screen:
-Description: SPAM Filter
-If: select “Any” in the drop down box
-Select “Subject” for the first drop down box” and “Contains” for the second drop down box
-For the white box at the end of that line type *****SPAM*****
Note: There are 5 *s before and after SPAM
-Under “Perform the Following Actions” select
“Transfer Message” for the first drop down box
“SPAM” for the second drop down box
-Click "OK" |

| 10. Make sure the “SPAM Filter” rule is checked and close the next box |

| 11. Now when any message comes in that the Spam filter notes as Spam it will be moved to the Spam folder so you can go through it when you wish in case any mail was accidentally tagged as Spam that you wish to keep. |
