1. Open Outlook Express
2. Click on Tools at the top
3. Go down to Message Rules
4. Click on Mail |

| 5. Click the "New" button on the right |
|
6. For Step 1. "Select the Conditions for your rule" check the box for "Where the Subject line contains specific words"
7. For Step 2. "Select the Actions for your rule" check the box "Move it to the specified folder" |

| 8. For Step 3 click on the hyperlink words "contains specific words" - In the box under "Type specific words or phrases" type in *****SPAM***** (Note: 5 * before the word SPAM and after) |

9. Click the "Add" button on the right
10. Click "OK"
11. Still in Step 3 click on the hyperlink word "Specified"
- Click the "New Folder" button on the right |

| Type the folder name "SPAM" |

| *Note the new SPAM folder both on the current folder screen and on the main folder list |

Click the "OK" button
12. For Step 4. "Name of the rule" type in the white box "SPAM filter" |
 |
13. Click "OK" on that screen
14. Make sure the new message rule has a check mark next to it and then click "OK"
15. Now when any message comes in that the Spam filter notes as Spam it will be moved to the Spam folder so you can go through it when you wish in case any mail was accidentally tagged as Spam that you wish to keep. |
