OWC.NET, a regional ISP, launched high-speed satellite Internet access for the
Chicago area. The service offers download speeds of 400-800 Kilobytes per second,
and requires a normal modem and telephone line for all upstream requests. OWC.NET
is offering three service plans:
Silver: Up to 100MB of downloads per month at up to
400Kbps for $29.95 per month.
Gold: Unlimited downloads per month at up to 400Kbps
for $49.95 per month.
Platinum: 1000MB of downloads per month at up to 800Kbps
for $149.95 per month.
Each plan includes an OWC.NET satellite dish, PCI satellite
receiver card, installation, local dial-up access, five e-mail accounts and
ongoing technical support. |
