1. Go in to your Applications and open the "Microsoft Office 2008" folder

2. Double click on your "Entourage" icon to open the program

3. On the first screen of the setup assistant chose the option "Start using Entourage without importing anything"

4. Click on the right arrow to proceed.
5.In the white box enter your email address (e.g. email@owc.net)

6. Click on the right arrow to proceed.
7. On the message screen that follows click the right arrow to proceed.

8. On the next screen input the following:
    a. Your name: Put your name as you'd like it to appear on your emails
    b. E-mail address: your full email address (e.g. email@owc.net)
    c. Account ID: The first part of your email address before the @ sign
    d. Password: Your email password
    e. Incoming mail server: mail.owc.net
    f. Incoming mail server type: Leave defaulted to "POP"
    g. Outgoing mail server: mail.owc.net

9. Click the right arrow to proceed
10. Verify Settings is optional. It is recommended you do so to make sure the previous information was input correctly, but if you do not wish to do so click the right arrow and proceed to step 13.

11. To verify settings click on "Verify My Settings". Give it a few moments to complete and when done your screen should look similar to this one. NOTE: You need to be connected to the Internet to do this.

12. Once that is done click on the arrow pointing right to proceed.
13. Account name: This is a description to identify your account settings. You can set it to what will work for you.

14. Click the "Finish" button
15. It should pop up the following box. Select the answer according to what you want to do.

16. Click on "Tools" in your menu bar.
17. Click on "Account's"

18. Double click on your mail account listed in the white box.

19. Under sending mail click on the button that says "Click here for advanced sending options"

20. It should be already defaulted, but make sure the "SMTP server requires authentication" is checked and "Use same settings as receiving mail servers" is selected.

21. Close back out to the main Entourage window and your ready to go.
