1. Go in to your Applications and open the "Microsoft Office 2008" folder
2. Double click on the "Entourage" icon to open the program
3. Right click (command and click on a one button mouse) on "Inbox"
4. Select "New Folder"
5. Type in the name for the folder you want the non-white list mail to go. (e.g. "Non-white list mail")
6. Before creating the white list rule we first need to create a group in the address book. Click on the "Address Book" icon in the tool bar.
7. Right click (or command click if a one button mouse) on "Address Book" on the left side.
8. Select "New Group"
9. Use the "Add" button to add addresses that you want to have white listed.
10. After clicking "Add" in the white box below type in the email address or domain you want to white list. Repeat for each address you'd like to add.
11. For group name put "White List" so you know what the group is for.
12. Click on "Save" on the popup button
13. You should now see your "White list" group in your Address book listing.
14. Click on "Tools" in the menu bar.
15. Select "Rules..." Tools
16. Click on the "New" button.
17. On the new window there are a number of steps as follows:
a. Rule name: We'll name this "white list" so you can find the rule easily if you have multiple rules.
b. Execute: "if all criteria are met" set in the drop down box
c. First drop down under If set to "From"
d. For the second drop down select "Is not in group"
e. For the third drop down select "White list"
(note this is the group we setup previously in the address book)
f. Under then for the first drop down select "Move message"
18. For the next drop down select "Choose folder"
19. Now select the folder you created back on step 5.
20. Click on the "Choose" button
21. The final rule should look like the screen below. Then click on the "OK" button.
22. Close the rules box and your new mail rule is all set to go. Congratulations! This rule will have any address or domain not in your "White List" address book group be moved to the "Non-white list mail" box so you can get to the mail you do want to read right away and go through the other messages when you get the chance.
23. Do not forget to update it in the future as you get more contacts or domains you want to make an exception for.
