To edit an existing connection in Windows NT, do the following:

The My Computer window appears.
Double click the Dial-Up Networking icon.

The Dial-Up Networking window appears.
Phonebook entry to dial = From the menu, select the connection you'd like to edit.
Click the More button and select Edit entry and modem properties.

The Edit Phonebook Entry window appears.
Select the Basic tab.

Entry name = Give the connection a name such as the name of your ISP.
Phone number = Enter the Access number you use to connect to the Internet. This is provided by your Internet service provider. Enter any other numbers necessary to connect. For example, if you have 10-digit dialing in your area, enter the area code along with the phone number. If you have Call Waiting and would like to disable it while you're on the Internet, enter "*70," before the access number, i.e., *70,3125555555. If you're in a hotel and need to dial a "9," to get an outside line, enter it as well. Dial using = This entry represents the modem installed on your computer.
Click the Configure button.

Change the Phone number to the new number if it is different.
Click the OK button
You are now finished.
