To edit an existing connection on Windows XP, do the following:
On the Desktop, click the Start button and select Control Panel from the menu.

Windows XP gives you the option to view the Control Panel in two different views: Category View and Classic View. Click Switch to Category View to proceed.

Click on the Network and Internet Connections icon.

The Network and Internet Connections screen appears.
Click on Network Connections icon.

The Network Connections window appears.
Right click the connection and select Properties from the menu.

The Properties window appears.
Select the General tab.
Connect using:
Click the Configure button.

Change the Phone number to the new number if it is different.
Click the OK button
You are now finished.
