Win 98 Complete Setup

1.Double Click on My Computer.

2. Double Click on Dial-Up Networking.

3. Double Click Make a New Connection.

4. When it says "Type the name of the computer you are dialing" put OWC.
5. Click on Next.

6. Type in your "Suggested Dial-In number"
7. Click Next

8. Click Finish

9. Right Click on your OWC icon.

10. Click on Server Type button.

11. Click on TCP/IP Settings

12. The following should be filled in:

- The black dot should be on "Server Assigned IP Address"
- The second black dot should be on "Server Assigned name server addresses"
- Both "Use IP Header Compression" and "Use default gateway on remote network" should be checked.

13. Click OK
14. Click OK again
15. Click on the start button
16. Go to settings and click Control Panel.

17. Look for Network and Double Click.
18. In the large white box under configuration click on TCP/IP or TCP/IP-Dial-up Adaptor.

19. Then click properties.
20. Click OK on the little message box that will popup.

21. Under IP Address make sure the dot is in front of "Obtain IP address automatically".
22. Click on WINS Configuration tab.

23. Make sure the dot on that page is set to "Disable WINS resolution."
24. Click on DNS Configuration tab.

25. Fill in the following information in:

-Make sure the dot at the top is on "Disable DNS."

26. Click OK at the bottom of the screen.
27. Click OK at the bottom of the Network Screen.
28. Windows will "build a driver information database" and then ask you to restart. Tell it Yes.
