Double click on My Computer.

2. Double click on Dial-Up Networking.

3. Click on the New button.

4. In the box under "Name the new phonebook entry" type OWC and click Next.

5. On the next screen all three boxes should be checked and then click Next.

6. Type in the Phone number assigned to you on your account sheet in the box labeled "Suggested Dial-in Number" then click Next.

7. Place the dot on Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) and click Next.

8. Select None for the dot and click Next.

9. For IP address it should be 0.0.0.0 then click Next.

10. For DNS server type 216.127.254.3 and for the WINS server leave it 0.0.0.0 then click Next.

11.On the next screen click Finish.

12. Click on the More button and select Edit and Entry Properties.

13. Click on the Server Tab.
14. For Dial-up server type you should have it on "PPP: Windows NT, Windows 95 Plus, Internet".
15. Under Network Protocols the TCP/IP should be the only one checked.
16. "Enable software compression" and "Enable PPP LCP extensions" should both be checked.
17. Click on the TCP/IP Settings button under Network protocols.

18. Leave the first dot on "Server assigned IP address"
19. Change the second dot to "Specify name server addresses".
20. For Primary DNS put in 216.127.254.3 and Secondary DNS 216.127.240.4
21. Primary and Secondary WINS remain 0.0.0.0
22. "Use IP header compression" and "Use default gateway on remote network" should both be checked.
23. Click OK.

24. Click on the Start Button.
25. Go up to Settings and Click on Control Panel.

26. Look for and double click Network.

27. Click on the Protocol Tab

28. Click on TCP/IP to highlight it.
29. Click on the properties button.



30. Click on the DNS tab.
31. Fill in the following information:
a. Host name: your username
b. Domain: owc.net
c. Under DNS Server Search Order click Add and put the number 216.127.254.3
d. Under DNS Server Search Order click Add again and put the number 216.127.240.4
32. Click OK twice and restart the computer.
33. Once your system has restarted you will be able to connect to the Internet.
